My name is Jonny Mack. I am a front-end web developer living in sunny San Diego, California. I am also the Interactive Director at Beautiful Machine, LLC.
Between 1998 and 2001, I apprenticed for Dave Kinsey and Shepard Fairey, then partners in Blk/Mrkt Communications, before attending Art Center College of Design.
Since then, I have explored many different forms of creative expression, from music, to acting in film, writing, and photography, before finally discovering a career in design for the web.
I enjoy traveling, surfing, reading, making music, and taking pictures in my spare time.
Some people who inspire me are: Werner Herzog, Jeffrey Zeldman, Hedi Slimane, Ryan Lovelace, John Cassavetes, SimpleBits, Otis Rush, Tom Ford, Ry Cooder, Montgomery Clift, Kris Kristofferson, Donald Draper, Wim Wenders, Washed Out, and Nick Cave. Though not for the faint of heart, I also like Ayn Rand, Mises, and Rothbard.
